The Atlanta Hawks have signed guard Shelvin Mack to a 10-day contract, Hawks President of Basketball Operations/General Manager Danny Ferry announced today. The team has also waived center Jeremy Tyler.

In his 2nd season in the NBA, Mack played for both Philadephia and Washington this season. He was originally drafted by the Wizards, and played in 64 games for them last season. Mack is most known for his collegiate days when he played for the Butler Bulldogs.

Shelvin will be available for tonight’s game against the 76ers at 7:30pm. He will wear number eight.

  1. Bo,

Before you tell your grandkids that you saw Tolliver score 21 points, you and management should go back and watch videos of him scoring in double figures 14 straight games in 2009-10 and watch the games where he scored 34, 30 and 29. Seems like we haven’t given the guy a fair chance until now and he can be our X factor the rest of the season. Since Christmas, he is 26 for 60 (43.3%) from three. Kyle leads the NBA in 3 PT% at 46.1 so the guy has played well for us the past 2+ months.
