Hawks trade for Antawn Jamison

The Hawks have traded for Antawn Jamison, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. According to LA Times writer Brad Turner, the Hawks sent the draft rights of Cenk Akyol to the Clippers, as the Hawks can just absorb Jamison’s contract in their cap space.

Antawn Jamison hasn’t played much for the Clippers at all this season and it is likely that he won’t play for the Hawks either. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports tweeted out that Jamison and the Hawks are likely to agree to a buyout.

More information to come as it is made available.

  1. What a terrible trade deadline. Ferry didn’t focus enough on serviceable big men last summer, now we’re paying the price.

If we don’t even keep Jamison, what the heck was the point of the trade, then?

  2. D ferry has not been impressive so far. We could have attempted to get rondo which I doubt we did. We could have gotten spencer hawes for that trash cleveland gave up, and we didn’t. Didn’t attempt to get evan turner. I have no idea what D Ferry is doing, and it will be another year passing that I don’t get season tickets. I had them every year until D Ferry popped up, and I won’t be renewing again until I see the hawks make an effort to win.
