Per Chris Vivlamore at the AJC, the Hawks have added former Georgia Tech wing Isma’il Muhammad to the training camp roster. His addition brings the number of players at training camp to 19.

Muhammad was part of GT’s Final Four team back in the 03-04 season. He quickly became a fan favorite for doing things like this:

There’s really nothing to lose by putting him on the training camp roster; if he makes the cut, you get a high-energy guy who can play defense and finish around the rim. If not, then no harm, no foul. (which the rims in Philips would probably prefer)

As a Tech guy, I’m rooting for him. He was such a fun player to watch and always played with a certain tenacity that is hard to find. In fact, I think it’s time for a montage!

(I’ll get out)
