The Atlanta Hawks won their sixth consecutive contest Saturday night, defeating the visiting New York Knicks 117-98. While Atlanta turned Philips Arena into the “Highlight Factory” for much of the second half, here are three spectacular plays that stand out above the rest.
Teague beats the buzzer.
Jeff Teague capped a resurgent Atlanta quarter with this beautiful buzzer beater to bring the Hawks within three heading into the half. For the game Teague finished with 17 points, four assists and two steals. This clutch pull up was Teague’s only 3-pointer of the night.
Schroder steal and fast-break assist to Patterson for three.
Dennis schroder showcased unteachable intuitiveness from the point-guard position on this well executed defense to offense sequence. Schroder finished the night with 10 points, six assists, zero turnovers and two steals. The third-year man’s plus-24 was a team high.
The recipient of this delicious dish, Lamar Patterson, had seven points on the evening.
Teague to Millsap alley-oop!
On a hard-fought defensive scrum for Atlanta, the Hawks’ Jeff Teague came away with the ball and set a streaking Millsap up perfectly with a deft lob for the emphatic throw down. Teague and Millsap’s high-wire connection was good for two of Paul’s game-high 22 points against New York.
